19-Don’t Quit Before The Miracle Happens

Chapter 19

Psalm 91:7
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand;
but it shall not come nigh thee.

We all like to see physical results of our efforts or of God’s dealings. Here in verse seven we have a colorful picture of God’s protection and defense.

A Thousand:
505 ¸: A masculine noun meaning a thousand or clan. Sometimes it is used poetically to suggest a large number (Gen 24:60; Job 9:3). In a few cases, it carries the sense of an extended family or clan (Judg 6:15).

We start with the words, ‘a thousand.’ Notice in the definitions however, it suggests that the word ‘thousand,’ that we see as a definite number, can also refer to just a large number or an extended family or clan. Given the understanding of the verses we’ve already covered, it could easily refer to our extended family members or our peers. Often they are the ones the enemy uses to lob attacks on us with their words.

Let’s see what will happen to this group.

Shall Fall:
5307: A verb meaning to fall, to lie, to prostrate oneself, to overthrow. KJV – be accepted, cast (down self,, [lots], out), cease, die, divide (by lot), (let) fail, (cause to, let, make, ready to) fall (away, down, -en, -ing), inferior, be judged
= Nun 50 = Restoration, Holy Spirit, Jubilee. Means: Life or action
= Pey 80 = New governmental order. Means: Mouth or speak, open, or beginning
= Lamed 30 = Blood of Messiah, Dedication. Means: Goad or Stick, to
Teach or Instruct, Authority to urge forward, tongue.

At Thy Side:
6654 : A masculine noun meaning side. It refers to the side or beside of any object.
= Tzade 90 = Humility. Means: Righteousness, Fishhook, pull toward, desire, harvest
= Dallet 4 = Earth or creation. Means: Door, gate, or Impoverished man

SHALL FALL AT THY SIDE: These words indicate that Action will be taken to Restore God’s Order. God will Speak in His Authority, bringing them to a place of Humility, helping them to see that they are Impoverished Men.

But let’s hear the rest of the story.

Ten Thousand:
7233 A feminine noun meaning ten thousand, a myriad, countless. It indicates great multitudes of people or things, almost innumerable, thousands of ten thousands.

At Thy Right Hand:
3225 : the right hand or side (leg, eye) of a person or other object (as the stronger and more dexterous); locally, the south:
= Yod 10 = The outcome, the completion of something. Means: Hand, Arm, Power – Right hand of God’s power, a deed done, open handed, to cover.
= Mem 40 = Trial, testing, Tribulation. Means: Womb, Water from the womb, Mighty, Massive, Chaos, Humility, taking the low place, Hidden relationship with God.

= Yod 10 = The outcome, the completion of something. Means: Hand, Arm, Power – Right hand of God’s power, a deed done, open handed, to cover.
= (final) Nun 700 = Restoration, Holy Spirit, Jubilee. Means: Life or action

TEN THOUSAND: Again not necessarily a definite number, but countless numbers of people will fall at our right hand.

AT THY RIGHT HAND: Wherever scripture indicates the ‘right hand,’ it is referring to God’s supernatural power and strength vs. our own power (left hand). In this case we can say that those who have been Goading us with their Words, will end up Humbled in God’s Right Hand of power.

Often times God will use this moment of reality to minister life to them as they see His goodness. Our God is all about redeeming and everything He does is to bring redemption.

Okay, let’s close this verse out.

Shall not come nigh thee:

5066 A verb meaning to come near, to approach, to draw near, to bring near, to be brought near for any purpose.

= Nun 50 = Restoration, Holy Spirit, Jubilee. Means: Life or action
= Gimmel 3 = Divine perfection. Means Camel- Generous Rich man—
To lift up and to Give, benefit. Negatively to toil or retaliate.

= Shin 300 = Victory of good over evil, Holy Spirit. Means: The Fire or zeal of God to consume all His enemies, devour, destroy something sharp

SHALL NOT COME NIGH THEE: They will be unable to take Action or Retaliate against us because God will use His Fiery Zeal to hold them in check.
God does this for our benefit but also for theirs. It keeps them from entering into more sin and judgment.

God is love, even in the midst of the battle.  Look at all the ways He expresses it in my journal notes to those who walk with Him and, yes, even to those who who are ‘kicking against the pricks.’ (Acts 9:5) We have a good, good Father.  He loves us, defends us, remolds us, pursues us and draws us to Him.

Love isn’t about striving to do. Love is about looking to Me and living. All your self-defenses fall away when your eyes are on Me. Your need to combat and confront falls to the ground, when you see My love face to face. Love dismantles the anger. Love melts cold hearts. Love covers and comforts. Love forgives and delights in being forgiven. Love is not rational. Love is relational. It moves beyond self and surrenders to serve others. It sees from their shoes. It speaks to their heart, not to their head. It discovers truth in listening, not in arguing. It is easily entreated. Slow to anger, abounding in mercy. Looking for ways to bless rather than curse.

Love is Who I AM. Who you are when you are one with Me. We are becoming one. The cry of your heart is being answered. You too will experience the heights of My joy and the depths of My pain in truly knowing Love—My Love. For it isn’t all warm and fuzzy—sunshine and flowing brooks. Love rages in the storms as well. Love fights the battle for souls and they don’t always yield. It’s their choice, yet the pain is not any less.

We will experience it together. Remember we are one. I will sustain you through the pain and celebrate with you every victory and there are many to be celebrated.

Joy is not the absence of sorrow. Joy is knowing I am present and regardless of the circumstances I am fully Love for you and all you meet. Joy is knowing Me and knowing I am ever with you. Nothing can take you from Me. Nothing.

So if you are in the midst of a battle, hang on.  Don’t quit until the miracle happens.  Their hearts or the circumstances may not change or even get worse, but your relationship with Him will grow stronger and forever change you, lift you above your enemies, and give you joy even while the battle still rages.
